MorningNews 1464
WWL stronghold on New Orleans is ridiculously impressive! Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13143-november-sweeps-new-orleans/#findComment-94179 Share on other sites
johnnya2k6 171
5:30 pm - WDSU (NBC Nightly News) 8.5; WWL (CBS Evening News), 8.4; WVUE 6.4, WGNO (ABC World News) 1.9 Brian Williams beats Scott Pelley in New Orleans by a hair?! I thought it was always the other way around! Even after Angela Hill's retirement and with the pending Belo/Gannett merger, WWL remains unstoppable...but for how long (WVUE is still closing in on them)? What I found fascinating is how WWL does so well at 5, then loses ground 5:30 but WDSU only gets a small bump at 6 and things turn back to WWL. It certainly defies some theories about lead-ins and lead-outs. One of the few timeslots during the entire broadcast day WWL DOESN'T win. Not as dominant as, let's say, Dayton's WHIO, but still very strong.
