ThunderJay27 45
NBC 10 abandoned snow/cold coverage at 7am for the Today Show while CBS 3 went simulcast with the CW Philly, and everyone else stayed with local coverage. There's still alot going on with the extreme cold, wicked winds, transportation delays, etc. I know you want to give a national perspective of what's going on, but good move? Update: CBS3 & 6ABC went national at 7:30am. So not as expansive of coverage as normal. Sam Horn 78
This makes sense. The bulk of the severe weather happened during the overnight hours. The storm was essentially over come the non-existent morning rush -- most schools and businesses had already decided to close the night before. There's only so much "here's another big pile of snow; back to you in the studio, Jim" you can do.
