Storm Coverage

NBC 10 abandoned snow/cold coverage at 7am for the Today Show while CBS 3 went simulcast with the CW Philly, and everyone else stayed with local coverage. There's still alot going on with the extreme cold, wicked winds, transportation delays, etc. I know you want to give a national perspective of what's going on, but good move?

Update: CBS3 & 6ABC went national at 7:30am. So not as expansive of coverage as normal.

This makes sense. The bulk of the severe weather happened during the overnight hours. The storm was essentially over come the non-existent morning rush -- most schools and businesses had already decided to close the night before.

There's only so much "here's another big pile of snow; back to you in the studio, Jim" you can do.
