T.L. Hughes 881
WGN-TV has finally appointed a president/general manager to replace now-WBBM president/GM Marty Wilke. Greg Easterly, who has served as president and general manager at WJW in Cleveland (now a sister station to WGN since Tribune's purchase of Local TV) and had formerly been news director at that station, has been assigned the position. http://www.robertfeder.com/2014/03/31/wgn-gets-new-tv-boss-from-cleveland/ Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13431-wgn-hires-presidentgm-from-cleveland-sister-station/ Share on other sites
Rusty Muck 4366
Unlike Greg's predecessor Mike Renda, he should fare very well at WGN-TV. One thing I hadn't noticed (which is shameful being a lifelong Clevelander) is that WJW outputs 65.5 hours of news a week. The most of any station in North America. By comparison, CHCH-TV in Hamilton ON is second with 64 hours of news per week.
