NEOMatrix 1299
I honestly hope that Jim's widow will do her homework and look into other groups that IMHO can do a better job of running things than Sinclair. Granted, Sinclair does know how to run a decent operation such as Columbus. However, it makes me feel uneasy when Sinclair decides to show up at a time when Jim Rogers was near death. I know it's business but when Beverly decides to sell, she should at least explore selling to a group that at least fits the ethos of Jim Rogers. Mrtraveler01 738
Newsblues reported last week about Rogers being in the ICU and Sinclair suits visiting the station, to the surprise of the GM. Article today notes that David Smith was at the station last week. http://www.reviewjournal.com/columns-blogs/norm-clarke/channel-3-faces-cloudy-future-after-jim-rogers-death The really interesting thing is that Jim Rogers' political views were basically the opposite of Sinclair's. Gotta wonder how that will factor into the whole ordeal. Still wouldn't be surprised if Sinclair was the prospective buyer for them, even though they have 2 stations in the market already. I know Las Vegas is the 40-something-largest market but due to it being a casino mecca, there are a lot of ad dollars floating around. Surely there should be more owners besides Sinclair willing to snatch up KSNV.
