PhillyWatch 239
Saw him tweet about it earlier today and it's up on the (suddenly existent) website for recent move-in KJWP, Philly's new Me-TV affiliate on channel 2. The website states Mendte is now the station's public affairs director (and if anybody knows about public affairs, it's him :rofl!: ). Additionally, he'll be hosting two new half-hour shows on the station- "The Delaware Way" (likely to appease the 3 viewers aware that the station's COL is in Delaware a la WHYY's "First" program or WWOR's "Chasing New Jersey" ) and "...And Another Thing with Larry Mendte". Both will air back-to-back Saturdays at 7pm with replays Sunday mornings at 9. Props to channel 2 for launching some original & offbeat programming. They air the new "Svengoolie" (which I think is a Me-TV offering) as well as a local variety show hosted by radio personality "Big" Joe Henry. They had 2 digital subchannels running, originally carrying color bars but now both showing Me in different aspect ratios. Strangely, one is (or was) virtually labeled as "TOUCH", leading me to believe Touchvision is/was in the plans for that subchannel at some point.
