This was a shock to everyone and lets just say now many at WIS are upset at how management handled the situation. I was talking to several employees at WIS who I know and they said they don't understand why that happen because WIS is a rating powerhouse and Ben in some ways help improve the ratings especially with the chemistry he had with his on air co-anchors Judi and Dawndy. When Ben came in he had some big shoes to replace (Craig Melvin of MSNBC) and he fit right in very well. I'm sure he would land on his feet somewhere very soon. Best of luck Ben.

...and in a twist of irony, Donita Todd was once a GM at WPMI in Mobile. Her replacement, Bob Franklin was the one who was responsible for canning the ENTIRE primary anchor team in 2007.

 

Her tenure there was a relatively quiet point in that station's twisted history, (and short one) since less than a year when she was hired, she was promoted to GM at sister station WOAI in San Antonio under Clear Channel, and from there, left for WIS in 2008.
