Jackson, TN has New NBC Affiliate .

Looks as if Jackson, TN now officially has a affiliate with every national network. WNBJ-LD owned by Jackson TV, LLC went on the air Oct. 2nd and is branded as NBC 39. Looks like no more piping in WMC-TV from Memphis or WSMV from Nasvhille. With Bahakel owned WBBJ having ABC on 7.1 and CBS on the 7.3, Nexstar owned WJKT showing Fox on channel 16, the CW Plus on cable, MNTV on WYJJ-LD and now NBC on 39 they are all set. This one kinda of caught me off guard. Ever since the New Moon deal for NBC went south never knew anyone else was planning on starting up a affiliate of the network there.

Very nice. Now we just need an NBC affiliate in Acadiana and we'll be all set. Maybe when (if?) after Nexstar acquires ComCorp they'll make KADN an NBC affiliate and move Fox over to KLAF, currently the MNT affiliate.

Except that KLAF is low-power, that would be a downgrade for FOX. Full-power KLWB is open, they're currently air MeTV on its primary channel; KATC or KLFY could buy it using a failing station waiver and it could be the new home for NBC or FOX, with MeTV shifting to a subchannel, or even KLAF. Or, Raycom could buy KLWB and make it a semi-satellite of KPLC, replacing its cable-only feed in Lafayette.
