Viper550 268
I knew something was up when The National ended with a weather report from The Weather Network instead of CBC's own weather team, but apparently, this month they've entered into a content-sharing partnership as a trial. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/cbc-weather-network-strike-partnership/article21524153/ Interesting synergy, especially with the cuts that have been going on. It's almost like NBC/TWC, but without the part where they're actually co-owned (fun fact, TWN also did weather segments for CTV News Channel during its NewsNet days). It's also, as mentioned, a good way to get CBC content into more outlets.
