Scripps Networks Interactive takes another step into Europe as it announces an acquisition of a controlling stake in Poland's most popular TV network, TVN, for $615m plus $885m in debt.

 

SNI also has a joint venture with BBC Worldwide for the UKTV lifestyle portfolio and distributes its own brands in Europe. The sellers are ITI and Canal Plus Group.
