Samantha 2895
The Wall Street Journal reported tonight (via Deadline Hollywood) that Dish Network and T-Mobile US are currently in "formative stage" merger talks. The new company would have Charlie Ergen as its chairman and John Legere of T-Mobile as its CEO. No details on purchase price or terms were made available, and it is cautioned the deal could fall through. A combo of Dish and T-Mo would marry the satellite giant and its valuable spectrum with the carrier's 57 million subscribers. Edit: John Legere slammed Re/code's report on this as a "snarky sensational and shallow look at a rumor that deserves no comment". Well then. mike91 67
Hmm...given the impact T-Mobile has had on the wireless industry in the past couple of years, one has to wonder what could happen to the cable/satellite industry due to this. TheRolyPoly 2418
No no no no no. If they merge, that means my family would have to pay more for MetroPCS services.
