The local FOX morning shows bring in a ton of revenue for the FOX-owned stations and the FNC shows bring in a ton of revenue compared to their cable and broadcast counterparts. You're killing and diluting revenue streams for the station group and for the cable group. Not to mention that the affiliates owned by other station groups would never clear the space.
