TheRolyPoly 1847
Well... That's it. The final straw has been dropped for local news production in Bangor on WLBZ 2. Beginning Thursday October 8th, the last remaining newscast to be produced by WLBZ 2, the 6:00 p.m. weeknight newscast, will instead be produced out of WCSH 6 in Portland and that officially means that ALL newscasts on WLBZ 2 will be produced by WCSH 6. At this point, it might as well call the news operation, Maine's NewsCenter. TheRob 920
That's not surprising. Markets that size typically can't support three stand-alone newsrooms and WLBZ was typically far, far behind WABI in the ratings anyway.

If WABI gets a deep pocketed owner (Gray, perhaps?) it could send WVII out of the news business as well...

WVII is owned by Rockfleet Broadcasting, which also owns WJFW 12 in Wausau - Rhinelander. I can see both being sold to a major company, just like Diversified.
