bmasters1 404
Of all the different methods that have been used to bill who does what in a newscast, which ones do you remember? One of the most creative, I would think (and one that I'll always remember), was that of KNBC in L.A. in 1988, especially on the 5 P.M. report. On that one, there were floating images of the personnel, and behind them, the Channel 4 News title scrolled in a slanted fashion diagonally downward from right to left (that title, however, was modified for the specific capacity as the announcer billed it). As each name was billed, the images of the people faded from one to the next, and the rows on which the title scrolled had a flipping effect (except at the end, when they flipped halfway, closed up, and then collapsed into the 4 in the Channel 4 News title). What I mean is, Keith Morrison and Kelly Lange had the unmodified Channel 4 News title behind them (being the main anchors), but Fritz, Fred, the two Davids, and Jess had that title modified to their capacities. To wit: Fritz Coleman: Channel 4 Weather Fred Roggin: Channel 4 Sports David Horowitz: Channel 4 Fight Back David Sheehan: Channel 4 Entertainment Jess Marlow: Channel 4 Commentary Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/14728-methods-of-billing-talent/ Share on other sites
