Larry was always a fighter, a dedicated journalist and a true well respected legend in Raleigh-Durham broadcasting, and the NC Triangle. It is one reason why viewers in the NC Triangle turned on the news every night at Six O'Clock to watch Larry to find out what was happening at home in the Heart of Carolina, the entire country, and around the world. Larry Stogner was in North Carolina institution who deliver the news in Raleigh-Durham for nearly 40 years, He was a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Air Force who served his country proud and strong. Today, we were honored to have Larry into our homes to deliver us the very best newscasts for so many years in The Heart of Carolina, and we were not just honored to watch Larry... it was a privileged. TVNT would like to take this time to offer our prayers and condolences to The Stogner Family, the Larry's extended family at ABC 11 Eyewitness News (WTVD) on this very emotional and difficult time. Don't live in that area of North Carolina; but he was definitely an all-time great in local TV news not just in the Triangle but the state as a whole.
