On September 30, 1975, Dave Munsey began his new job at KOOL-TV in Phoenix. He's seen quite a bit in more than four decades — for one thing, his broadcasting career is longer than the history of the Fox network that now owns KSAZ. But he's hanging up his cowboy boots after 41 years. His tenure set a record in Phoenix television and is among the longest in the nation.

The news went out this afternoon with a formal announcement at 5pm. His last day is June 1. Kristy Siefkin, weekend weather presenter (and sometimes reporter), will take his place on the weeknight newscasts.
