The performance of the 10 News team didn't get any better by giving away $1000. The guy that won the $1000 said he didn't even like KGTV...he just needed $1000. And who ever the new ND ends up being, I hope they move Jim Patton and Mary McKenzie off Weekend AM's and put them on during the week. They're much too good to be where they're at right now. They're much too good to be where they're at right now. Yup...that Patton / Big(butt) Mac combo should have been moved weeks ago. They should also move Mecija to the weekday wx slot and send the "WX Pinata" back to CLE. I cannot take Melissa seriously as an investigative reporter...don't get me wrong, she is genuine and smart , but she lacks a bulldog look. She is a cutie new mommy, and I know she test well with both male and female in demo. Let her shine in the 5/6/ and 11, she has earned it. Lindsey Pena has bombed....real bad. KGTV wants that lower income female demo....but Univision and T-20 are making harder plays for the mixmex viewers. As long as KGTV is stuck with the Scripps HR machine, they will be stuck with a crappy bench full of low paid data jockey's who practice active stand-ups between gigs at Forever 21. Melissa excelled at doing Traffic and Live Center. She needs some more seasoning on the weather side. I would prefer if they move: Garfield, Mz. Lisp and the "weather piñata" to weekend mornings. Jim, Mary to the 4/6pm and have Neda Iranpour do weather (since KGTV has had her frequently doing fill-in weather). Stick the "Schlongs" on weekends with the Hyftebag. Lindsay as a nightside reporter They're still going to get creamed by KFMB and KNSD, but hey this lineup is 100x better than what they have now. Yeah, they've been using that for several weeks now. I do wonder if it's a clue that a graphics refresh is on the horizon (possibly to coincide with the Winter Olympics on Scripps NBC stations), but that's just wishful thinking from me to see something new. I wonder how bad ratings were, did they get beat by the DIRECTV-challenged News 8 on The CW San Diego at 7? Would be interesting if we'll see any drastic anchor changes, they haven't filled the weekend anchor position left by Preston Phillips yet...though perhaps they decided they go with a solo anchor route for the weekend evenings. I do agree with y'all regarding the weekend morning team, they deserve a chance to shine during the weekdays. I bet they end up going with one of those digital focused ND like they put in at KNXV. Sadly, tiffycat really screwed the station up even more with her crappy moves. Now Scripps will undoubtedly use this opportunity to experiment on the station with their shitty ideas and even lower budgets.
