FOX and "The Simpsons Movie"

I think it was starting Sunday, but Fox is now cross-promoting the Simpsons Movie during its various show promos, not counting the ones coming this fall. After a certain promo (full-length, surprisingly), Homer runs into the frame and splashes yellow paint around revealing a Simpsons-style Fox logo with a donut (Homer's fave, I'm sure) as the O.

Also, during a promo for an upcoming Simpsons marathon, Lisa pushes a line to make it Simpsons oriented, then Bart comes and it's a struggle. (note that the Fox logo in the bottom left remains intact) Also, the announcer notes that it's all for the movie.

And during programming, the graphics that let you know when a new episode of a program's gonna show - Simpson-ized too.

I think they could really take it a step further - total Simpson-ization. Like, make that watermark the donut Fox logo, make the closing credit aston yellow and black (leave the cast/crew font as is, but Simpson-ize the show font), and maybe the web site. But I see they've done a number with the starting idents of the primetime programming.

Yeah, a except for a change in gfonts and logo of cource, it's perfect! It's very ABC late 90's which was an awesome look.

well, i don't know how many other ABC stations do this, but at the start of the midday hour, before News 8 Midday starts, WFAA has a screen that uses the black & yellow and it identifies the station. an WFAA logo WITH an ABC logo (don't see that too often) and underneath, it says WFAA-TV Dallas / Fort Worth.

and they're not even an O&O
