Mrtraveler01 738 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Listen if you dare. http://www.southernmedia-nmsa.com/#3,1,2158 And we have the name of the group that made this package. https://www.sixiemeson.com/en/ Looking at their website their speciality is "sonic branding". So basically TEGNA commissioned these people to come up with something similar to the 4-note signature Hearst uses for their branding. I will admit though, I'm slowly warming it to it since it seems like stations are finally figuring out how to use it properly.
LOWERCASE GUY 273 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 It's stuck in my head! I've seriously caught myself humming the 4 note signature.
Guest Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 It's anti-News Music. It's pretty great, actually.
LorenKarr 18 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Ah, yes. This sickeningly perky music makes it so much easier to stomach video of cars of a passenger train dangling from an interstate overpass. And pictures of a body covered with a sheet, in the background a car is wrapped around a telephone pole -- still, the music makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. Mmmm, bop, bop, mmmmm.......
