LexTVandRadio 418 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Not sure when they got a new set. It's not virtual at least.
TennTV1983 807 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 It debuted back in November. https://wdef.com/2018/11/07/news-12-looking-history-chattanoogas-first-tv-station/ https://wdef.com/2018/11/08/news-12-sets-evolve-years/ Surprising Morris actually invested in a new physical news set for once.

Nice! Thanks for the update. I was told WTVQ is supposed to get something new this winter. So hopefully Morris will also give them a new physical set.
Guest Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 I'm glad they finally ditched the old set and that God-awful 90s Park/MG desk. For Morris, I'm impressed but if it was anyone else I'd be extremely underwhelmed. It's dark, it doesn't flow very well, and the gaps between the monitors on the "monitor walls" are way too wide. I mean I know it's cheaper to just set up a few vertical flat screens than putting in monitor arrays, but still. It's a decent in-house job. It screams Morris. I don't think it's really an improvement design wise, doesn't feel as open as the old one did. Considering it replaced a 20 year old set though, beggars can't be choosers.
