KKyuubi 0
Well, here's something good, from what I learned through the video player on KIRO's website, it seems like that KIRO-TV has finally gone to Widescreen newscasts! Their graphics and set seem to be HD ready, but their weather graphics are pillarboxed. Field reports are in Widescreen, and their ticker stretches across the entire screen. They did this on July 1st from what I've read on AVS, but I never noticed until I suddenly went onto the KIRO web player to look up information about this "Torchlight Parade" they were promoting. There, another Cox station in 16:9. Sure, it's not HD, but still, at least we've got 3 widescreen newscasts from the Big 3 now. Also, I found more odd widescreen tests on the KIRO website, but one of them is this very squished thing with a weird bearded guy, and a reel of commercials scaled to widescreen.
