TheRolyPoly 2586 Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 I'm in Boston and Southern New England today and while I won't be capturing much in TV news, I'm hopeful to capture the radio side and wonder (finally) which stations serve NPR for New Bedford and the Southcoast of Mass. (where I'm currently at) I was taking a bus today going from Boston to New Bedford and what do I see? WLVI's old studios at 75 Morrissey Blvd. Holy hell! The signs are degrading and old but the building is still standing! Yes... it still says Boston's WB if your wondering. There was available for space signs covering those signs up but the old Boston's WB and Boston's CW names have returned. I was stunned to see this making my way today. I thought this would be of interest. https://www.google.com/maps/place/75+Morrissey+Blvd,+Dorchester,+MA+02125/@42.3174555,-71.0497571,3a,75y,178.98h,98.29t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sHQYTgx4oYJPMlkMzPsTXIg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4m5!3m4!1s0x89e37a55f130576b:0xb96c0e976a2d161c!8m2!3d42.3168679!4d-71.0502411
TVLurker 239 Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 that is an eyesore... WLVI deserved better than the fate it was dealt. of course, the TV market isn't ever going to be like what it was so the best we can do is respect the dead.
