who?cares 254 Posted August 6, 2007 Share Posted August 6, 2007 While browsing toddandtrisha.com i found this. 6News Launching Local News at 7PM Indianapolis (August 6, 2007) – Beginning on Monday, September 10, Central Indiana viewers will have a new choice for local news with the launch of 6News at 7pm. 6News is unveiling Indiana’s only local 7pm newscast with the debut of its new anchor team Todd Wallace and Trisha Shepherd. 6News will now offer three distinctive newscasts in the early evenings; 6News First at 5pm, 6News at 6pm and 6News at 7pm. “Hoosiers used to be able to watch a newscast at 5pm or 6pm. With longer commutes and longer work days many viewers aren’t home by that time,” said RTV6 Vice President and General Manager Don Lundy. “We are very enthusiastic about the idea of providing local news at 7pm. It’s all about convenience.” News Director Jason Heath adds, “For 6News it’s all about being on our viewers’ side. This is a great opportunity to expand our news audience into a new time period.” The addition of a 7 p.m. newscast will modify RTV6’s early evening and access programming. 5:00 p.m. 6News First at 5pm 5:30 p.m. Extra 6:00 p.m. 6News at 6pm 6:30 p.m. ABC World News with Charles Gibson 7:00 p.m. 6News at 7pm 7:30 p.m. The Insider “With Todd and Trisha joining and leading the 6News Team, this is a perfect time to expand into the 7pm time period,” according to Lundy. “It’s the right team at the right time.” Wallace comes to 6News from KXAS-TV in Dallas, Texas. Shepherd joins the team from WHO-TV in Des Moines, Iowa. When she first arrived to the Des Moines scene she was partnered with John Bachman at 5. God I could not stand them together she was just awful, they didn't make a good team at all. Then she moved to Today in Iowa with Patrick after Brooke Bouma (now on IPTV and sometimes reporting Fox17). I was so happy to see that because Patrick and Brooke didn't jive and neither one could read. Patrick last I saw has really made MAJOR improvements. mobilene 2 Posted August 7, 2007 Share Posted August 7, 2007 I'm thrilled about the 7 pm newscast... but frankly I liked the previous anchor team and think this new one looks sort of plastic. We Hoosiers are a little suspicious of strangers suddenly appearing in our neighborhoods, especially if they look a little too poised and perfect. It's sort of a shortcoming out here, but it is what it is. No, the victim was actually Michael Scott, who later went to KCTV.
