Tyler 151
Some of this is new, some old... WXIX's Valerie Abati will become Rebecca Hower's replacement at TV2. While it's currently unclear when exactly this will happen, it is known Abati's contract in Cincinnati expires this upcoming September. WTAE will be introducing a new set just after this Labor Day. There is speculation that WATE will be the next Hearst station in HD. WPXI is on schedule for moving into it's new building. I can't wait! Mrtraveler01 738
Wow, this is an exciting time for Pittsburgh news isn't it. Is their any news about KDKA going in HD anytime soon? WTAE isn't the only Hearst station broadcasting in HD. KMBC is very close to broadcasting in HD when they move into their new studios. They have a promotion video on their homepage. Looks pretty exciting. Hope WTAE looks that good. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/1805-dma-22-news/#findComment-17188 Share on other sites

WTAE isn't the only Hearst station broadcasting in HD. Well, we know that! I think Tyler's point was that the rumor is that WTAE is ahead of KMBC as far as Hearst's timeline is concerned. We'll see how it breaks down. No word on when KD will go HD, although I'm told they have much to do. News Director John Verrilli was quoted in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette not long ago, saying they were gunning for Spring '08. I don't see it happening. YoungstownTV 0
I always thought KD would be first to go HD. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/1805-dma-22-news/#findComment-17202 Share on other sites
