KUSI Anchor Switcheroo

Do you all know that Michael Tuck (Former KCBS Anchor) anchor at KUSI left the station, and Stan Miller is

joining the team. I don't know if Stan going to anchor the 11pm and Paul Bloom going back to the 6, 6:30 &

10pm spot, but more information if it happens.

And Here's the link, and I didn't copy the story.

Actually part of this story is true.. Tuck has taken a leave of absence from KUSI for "personal" reasons. He is still featured on the stations website. As for Stan Miller, he is remaining at KFMB. I believe that SD City Beat article is about 18 months old? Btw.. i read CityBeat weekly.. good paper.

Hope this clears up some stuff.

Nick. :)

Thanks for bringing up an article that's about two years old. Tuck was at KUSI, but as nicksair said, he's been on leave for at least the last four months for medical reasons (last I heard he was still in a San Diego hospital, but that might have changed). Now the rumor going around that market (on TVSpy's forums, so its credibility is questionable) is Stan Miller moving into the 11:00 p.m. anchor chair alongside Barbara-Lee Edwards, displacing Kathleen Bade.

But the article is a very entertaining read. I have to agree with the writer's view of Miller: he's an amiable doofus.

Cali.. would the movement of Stan to 11pm have to do with the good chemistry between Barbra-Lee and Stan at 5pm? I always found that Stan and Kathleen have a better chemistry at 6:30. But between the 2 girls at 11pm, its amazing. But then again.. it seems like they (KFMB) are after the soccer moms still.. even with the article from SD CityBeat being 2 years old. But what soccer moms stay up at 11pm to watch the news anyways? Keep Stan in the afternoon slots and the girls together at 11pm. And Cali.. one more question.. have your sources said why Michael Tuck was in the hospital? Knee replacement surgery again that possibly went wrong?

Michael Tuck is officially gone from KUSI. His bio was removed from the website (along with Charlotte Starck, who is moving to Seattle). Michael Tuck had back surgery earlier this year, and while he was in the hospital, he got an infection. Which has sidelined Tuck for the last 7 or 8 months. Miller, as Caliwxdude mentioned will eventually be moved to the 11pm slot alongside Edwards, reports were that the ratings weren't so good. I'm guessing Barbara-Lee will be moved into the 6:30pm slot. But yes, Kathleen Bade will be leaving KFMB. Don't know a timeline though. She emailed me back a few weeks ago, and she confirmed to me that she is leaving and does not know what she will do next, but she says that she is so looking forward to being with her kids. As for Stan Miller,he is not going anywhere, since management really loves him. Another KUSI sidenote, Kelly Ryan(formerly of KGO-TV) will be the new weekend co-anchor replacing Charlotte Starck, that according to TV SPY.
