justin2kx 237
Lately since the WABC debacle, it has spawned off controversy into whether or not stations stop airing the coverage. So when should there be a cutoff year for the coverage? >Next Year (2008) >The Year after that (2009) >2010 and Beyond Your thoughts? Mario500 3
I understand the TV news coverage for the 2002 memorial services, especially in New York, NY area, but coverage in the proceeding years should have been scaled back to reflect life moving forward. Unfortunately, with one date of the Gregorian calendar forever associated with a particular day’s series of events, stations such as those in New York continue to broadcast memorial services live as other folks personally unaffected by the attacks try to make every day their best. WABC-TV’s attempt to scale back coverage on their analog channel should be a sign for all the other New York stations and folks personally affected by the attacks that it’s time to move forward in the years ahead. Every day, including every future 11th day of September, is a new day, not September 11, 2001.
