I was watching The News at Nine and I saw that Tom and Teri not using the anchor desk

tonight. There on the studio but on stand-up. And idea what's going on?

I called the newsroom and they said that there not getting a new set, the anchors are going in stand up mode

from now on, so there will be no anchor desk and there not going HD. Sorry.

guys... they are a low rated tribune CW affiliate, which is likely to shut down in the not so distant future. Why would they invest in a new set..or even HD? Tribune wont invest in HD at its profitable and successful stations.

I'm not saying I'm surprised they're not going HD, it would be a waste of $$. But why get rid of the desk and stand awkwardly in front of that ugly wall and monitor for the entire newscast?
