NYNW 0
I was watching WWOR tonight, and during their informational promo's they were playing the exact same music. Is there any copyrights on the music? Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/2191-my9-using-news-4-you-music/ Share on other sites

IceManNYR 240
For those reading who may not know about it, music can be bought for use in video production, TV and radio stations and unless the music was created just for the station and the station or music producer owns the rights then anyone else can buy it from the same music house. The music bed used on the animated iO Cable TV ad's last year for example has been used in other ads and by cable news channels. NYNews 54
Very interesting, thank you for explaining that. Then another example would be the production music "When the Story Breaks" used by WPIX and WWOR one time. But how unoriginal of WWOR/WNYW to even choose the same music. : Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/2191-my9-using-news-4-you-music/#findComment-21193 Share on other sites
