NYNews 54
I received a call from WABC tonight, it was voice automated and it asked about questions concerning the primary/election 2008, ie: who you would vote for and issues that concern you. At the end it said that the results would be on 11 tonight. Very interesting. Anyone else get the call? And has other stations in NY ever done this before about any topic? bostonmediaguy 123
Was it, perhaps, through SurveyUSA (http://www.surveyusa.com/)? SurveyUSA is contracted by local television/radio stations to complete polls in local markets. It is usually the local talent that introduces the poll ("This is WXXX calling. We are conducting an opinion poll and we want to know what you think...") and then a generic voice asks the actual questions. NYNews 54
Yes, most likely it was. The local talent was Bill Ritter, but it really didn't sound like him. IceManNYR 240
I got one of those survey calls voiced by Ritter last year. I guess they just do a random dial of a group of numbers.
