bostonmediaguy 123
WBZ-TV's CSD has a page on their site with background info on the new image promos: "Are you curious?" http://wbztv.com/watercooler/Curious.WBZ.Promo.2.631006.html (Video of the promo is in the player on the right). {Just thought I would share}. Ntropolis 593
Interesting, thanks for sharing. More promo fun from WNCN, a "behind the scenes" look at the making of a promo...

jestbiteme 13
Dear KDKA, Can you like, you know, start caring about how you look a la WBZ? kthx, J Dear "J," Yes. When our lifeblood, the elderly, drop off and viewership cedes to WTAE or WPXI. Neither have a great product, but by that time our blues and whites will look as tired and dirty as the Mon Wharf and our music will be as overplayed as just about anything on 96.1FM. By then, it will be too late; we'll try and we'll mess it up because we're too afraid of alienating the aforementioned elderly people and won't let our CSD do her job. Mrtraveler01 737
Your right about KDKA. However they do try somewhat but not to the great lengths that WBZ appears to do. they have done a great job adding character to the station. KDKA relies for the most part on the Steelers for local character and does need an image update. When will they get around to do it? Who knows. Tyler 150
Sorry to bump an old topic... but were we ever able to determine the creator of WPXI's graphics? I was told about two months ago by someone at FX (set designer) that they were done in house... this true?
