Got a new set and graphics. GFX were done in house.

Where's our PVD people on this one?

I'm working on caps and stuff...

Not bad for in-house. I wonder who did the set? BTW who is LIN's Flagship, wikipedia says WPRI, but i thought WISH was?

No, it's WPRI.

Which makes sense, seeing as LIN is headquartered in Providence and not Indianapolis.

Oh!

And the set... I'm working on finding that out. I *was* told though that it was designed out of town, but design specs were then handed off to a local contractor.

Also, the weather center monitor wall was replaced by a 72" DLP, and the video wall on the other side of the set (IIRC) was replaced by a silk screen and projector.

Still working on pics...

I like WJAR's new look though, especially the rearranging of the O&O 10 logo.

I'm wondering if LIN will push this gfx package out on other stations...

In house? I don't think all of it is.

It looks very similar to what WVBT just got (also LIN-owned.)

I'd definitely say parts of that look are either GO or RenderOn.

I was told by someone at WPRI that they were entirely in house.

ETA: Keep in mind that in house for WPRI would be the same as in house for all of LIN.

the set was a refresh by FX Group, the graphics were a custom package done by Renderon for WPRI.

Well, I'm convinced.

It's not clunky, this crappy youtube encoding is skipping some frames..I've seen the open on tv and it's very smooth. Awesome stuff, great improvement
