alaskanews 122 Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Wow, this is the third time. Here is a pretty emotional video message from Kathi: http://www.komotv.com/about/kathi/
alaskanews 122 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Per the "Kathi Updates" page on KOMO's website she is out of surgery and doctors say they got "more of the tumor than they thought they would." She is awake and doing well.
Geoffrey 873 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Brain cancer is a terrible thing. My uncle was diagnosed with it about eleven years ago and he's still with us. The problem is that every time they operate, they have to remove a piece of the brain and it messes things up. He gets confused now and mixes things up. He had to undergo another operation a few months ago and I was naive and thought that he would "get better" after and start remembering things more... but all they're doing is removing more of the brain to keep the person alive but it only messes more things up. It's a very sad thing to watch. All the best to Ms. Goertzen.
