CBS2LuvsU 0 Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 Longtime KCCI reporter Michelle Parker fell ill last night and passed away early this afternoon. Parker was 52. Our thoughts and prayers are with the KCCI news team and her family. alaskanews 108 Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 This is really sad. I met Michelle when I shadowed at KCCI about 5 or 6 years ago. She was incredibly nice and started talking to me even though she didn't know me from the next schmuck high school kid who came through there. KCCI has a "Remembering Michelle Parker" page on their website There were some wonderful comments from viewers in addition to former KCCI employees on the board: http://www.kcci.com/news/16160431/detail.html Also KCCI has a number of wonderful tributes to Michelle: http://www.kcci.com/news/16160431/detail.html KCCI had former reporter Chris Nagus from KMBC covering the funeral for them: http://www.kcci.com/news/16160431/detail.html Interestingly WHO-TV offered to cover news of the day and share video with KCCI so staff could attend the funeral.
