KOMO Drops Northwest Afternoon after 24 years

The Seattle Post-Intelligencier has reported that KOMO-TV is dropping Northwest Afternoon after 24 years. The show goes off the air in August and will be replaced with "The Doctors" a new syndicated program from Dr. Phil featuring medical professionals in a discussion panel. Some say low ratings are the cause, or perhaps there's trouble at Fisher.

I'm surprised the didn't try to morph it into the hybrid talk show/paid advertisement that stations like KHOU, WFLA and others are doing, with somewhat moderate levels of success.

Awww I liked NWA! It was way better with Elisa Jaffey on it though, that new chick just couldn't cut it.
