rtmclaug 46 Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 According to the Orlando Sentinel, Marla Weech will anchor her last newscast at WKMG-TV tonight. She started at Local 6 two years ago after almost 20 years at WFTV. Weech anchors Local 6 News at noon, four and 5:30. I was slack-jawed when I read this. I always admired Marla's style as an anchor. I live in Philadelphia, but whenever I traveled to Disney World, I watched Marla on WFTV and WKMG. Marla will be sorely missed. Hopefully, the people at WESH will hire her to take Wendy Chioji's spot. Marla deserves a spot behind the anchor desk, no matter what city that anchor desk is in. I'll miss you, Marla!
