CircleSeven 1960 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 It appears that private equity firm company Bonten Media Group is planning to buy WTVF-Channel 5 in Nashville from Landmark Communications as they continue to sell all of their media assets. More on the story here.
WXmanTim 88 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Meanwhile, a seperate private equity group, Silver Point Capitol, is stalking Young Broadcasting (owner of WTVF rival WKRN-Channel 2). The hedge fund already controls Communications Corp. of America and Granite Broadcasting.

rtmclaug 70 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I wonder what will happen to KLAS-TV, the CBS station in Las Vegas. Landmark is selling it as well, isn't it? They're also selling The Weather Channel to NBC, too.
effseesee 101 Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 The WTVF sale has fallen apart. http://www.tvnewsday.com/articles/2008/10/15/daily.12/
