(It was in today's Feder column: http://www.suntimes.com/business/feder/1083518,CST-FIN-feder31.article) WEWS needs some help image-wise. Their graphics look like they belong in market 150 and they picked out some bad cuts of Gari's EWN package to use. I can see her sprucing up that stations' newscast image (graphics, music, etc.) in 2 ways. She'll either strip it down to simplicity (2002-2004 WBBM or CLTV) or she'll try to bring in the extravagant WLS look. However, I don't know if the GM at WEWS has full say on that kind of stuff or if the GM leaves that kind of stuff for the ND to pick out. I've seen this vary from station to station.. Whichever it is, hopefully her coming is for the better of WEWS.
mre29 1563 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I don't know what their graphics are like, but WEWS is in desperate need of a new website. They're the ONLY Scripps station that still has an old-school IB site (the kind that Cox-owned stations still have). What's up with that?
