goo 0 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 KTXL Fox 40 in Sacramento launched new graphics and switched to the FOX O&O News Theme. You can see video of the new L3 at 0:11 here... http://www.fox40.com/pages/video/?autoStart=true&topVideoCatNo=default&clipId=2890756 They also relaunched their morning news program that now begins at 4:30AM. Previously their morning show was news and no fluff but now the newscast has more personality and landed a local celebrity that was previously on the radio in Sacramento for 19 years.
TSSZNews 1052 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Some of those graphics in the monitor at the beginning of the video look eerily like KSWB's... -T
CircleSeven 1960 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Some of those graphics in the monitor at the beginning of the video look eerily like KSWB's... -T Yep. The same condensed, homogenized version of the background like KSWB's. I'm happy they don't have a stacking vertical logo and the bug is to the right (instead of left). At least when WTIC debuted their new graphics, most of those background elements were close to legit. I also noticed that they have new mic flags to co-ordinate with the new graphics. I hope this "virus" doesn't spread into WPMT, KCPQ/KMYQ & WXMI. As a matter of fact, my favorite graphics from one of the Trib Fox station graphics is WXMI 17.
channel2 982 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 At least they didn't get that old hat vertical logo. And they ditched the godawful KWGN ripoff GFX at last! (KWGN has new GFX too; the news opens now consist of simply the "circle 2" shining over a shot of the set and a cut of music which vaguely resembles In-Sink).
