For DMA 180, this is actually pretty nice and a HUGE improvement from that awful 70's logo. Yeah, it may look a little bland, but overall, I like the new look for TV 6. Even though their previous 19 year old logo looks like it was made when they first invented color television, I actually loved the old logo. The new logo doesn't have the distinctive uniqueness that the old logo had, which also had historical overtones. The new logo looks really generic, bland and cheap, like anyone could've made it. Yes, I'm saying it's amateuristic too. Yes, a new set and new graphics is an improvement but the logo is down-right ugly and they should've went with a nice graphics with would've included and blend in with the old "6" logo. Chief-O 31 Posted September 14, 2008 Share Posted September 14, 2008 Upon seeing the gallery of past logos, I'd have decided on using something similar to the '89 logo, but with a silver "6" and more contemporary fonts. Yes, it'd look a little dated, but hey---in all honesty, WISN's 12 looks more dated. An alternative I'd consider would be to put the peacock next to the "6". With the right work done to it, they could still get more miles from that logo. Those comments I saw from their viewers has me thinking: They probably love the rainbow "6" like people in Philly love "Move Closer"....... As for WLUC, having NBC spelled out in their old logo was just simply stupid when they gained NBC in 1995.
