Here I was one day searching for the full 1994 WNYW News theme (not found on NMSA)when somehow i found out that there's this site called he television production music museum that has themes from different composers who composed a lot of themes that you either have heard already, haven’t heard before, or other versions of familiar themes consist of news and entertainment. Look left to the great categories they have ranging from the major networks (ABC,CBS,NBC) to even game and talk shows. http://tvpmm.com/documents/51.html

A great example is Edd kalehoff:

As you go down after hearing from the top there are local news themes: The track list goes by track 1, track 2, track 3, etc. so the list follows as this: (if you want to be surprised, don’t look further and just click on the link above this sentence)

1. WNBC Doppler 4000 cut (clear version)

2. NBC Stations (with alternate ending)

3. Cut used for the defunct show “S.O.S: Save Our Streets”

4. We’re 4 New York open 1993 (clear version)

5. We’re 4 New York Main theme 1992

6. Live at five main theme (in the ‘we’re 4 new york’ package) 1993 (clear version)

7. Major Theme (full version) (cut besides WJBK also was used for Animal Planet’s “Zig and Zag dog championships”)

8. Eyewitness Primetime (full version)

9. WJBK - Evening News (full version)

10. Straight Talk (full version)

11. “Centerstage” cut (theme used for the Yankees entertainment and sports (YES) network show “centerstage”)

12 Industrial Strength (alternate version)

13. Groove News (alternate version without the NBC Chimes)

14. Not official but a CNBC-like theme

15. Good Day main theme

16. Home (alternate version) (main version can be found here: http://www.kalehoff.com/samples.php?pageno=2 just click on “home” and quicktime needed btw)

17. Dayna Main Theme

My personal favorite is this: http://tvpmm.com/documents/245.html the music commonly heard in the CBS' Masters commercial but the vocal version is just as majestic as the instrumental.

Other than that, enjoy

I know that site. I first found out about the site earlier this year from another board and it features audio from Johnny Olson's preshow warmups from both The Price Is Right and Match Game during the 70s. Then I browsed through several game shows themes and several themes I'd never heard before. I was like this was way better than the 80stvthemes site and others that have followed. I remembered it was only about 25 shows and the themes used when I first went to the site earlier this year. But it has expanded to several more shows and even demos from Composers w/the shows they'd composed. It even has themes used by shows in the 2000s like Deal or No Deal and Million Dollar Password.

Somehow, I have the feeling that TVPMM's webmaster has a connection of sorts with Kalehoff. There is a lot of his work on the site, not just his game show and news work.

The ABC News '78 package is awesome. I just wonder where the "20/20" theme is....

Some of my favorite obscure material are the largely unknown tracks on the Score Productions demo pages. I wish I knew where some of them came from. [some of them are no-brainers, though].

Although not TV, they also have a very familiar theme to my ears---NPR's "Morning Edition" theme.

I am checking it out right now.

It looks like they added a page called "CBS - We've Got The Touch" and they also added a page called "NBC - Let's All Be There".

To see them...

"NBC - Let's All Be There"

http://tvpmm.com/documents/257.html (I especially love cut #7 where it is all instrumental music, not vocals)

and...

"CBS - We've Got The Touch"

http://tvpmm.com/documents/260.html (This is the one for the CBS affiliates on channel 9, WDVM, for example, used the theme in its promos)
