IceManNYR 240
Can it be cheaper to have an anchor from the Hartford, CT area come down to WNBC then have someone new on staff to work weekends? I know it's not that far a drive but who pays expenses? Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/5195-len-leaving/page/4/#findComment-49840 Share on other sites
TrfRptr 3
Can it be cheaper to have an anchor from the Hartford, CT area come down to WNBC then have someone new on staff to work weekends? I know it's not that far a drive but who pays expenses? Sports guy in Hartford probably making 80K-100K per year, probably can't hire somebody for less than 150K in New York. So yes, for the time being paying expenses to NY is worth it. But I'd imagine the guy in Hartford isn't going to turn down a chance to "fill-in" in NYC. Whether he's getting extra pay or not.
