Geoffrey 861
http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/towerticker/2009/04/wbbmtv-eliminating-jobs.html "Among those cut Thursday in a reorganization at CBS-owned WBBM-Ch. 2 were general assignment reporter Joanie Lum, entertainment reporter and film critic Bill Zwecker and sportscaster Howard Sudberry, as well as assistant news director Todd Woolman and other behind-the-scenes staffers. Anne State, who had been co-anchoring the station's 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts will now only front the 5 p.m. broadcast while taking on reporting assignments. Rob Johnson will anchor solo at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. The station also plans to discontinue its weekend morning newscasts, which have been its least profitable." Amra 171
But, now watching the 5pm news and Anne and Rob are anchoring together. Wasn't Anne supposed to anchor solo at 5? And Rob solo at 6 & 10pm? NewsMan 0
No I thought from what I read WBBM had Rob & Anne stay at 5PM together. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/5323-more-wbbm-layoffs/#findComment-49938 Share on other sites
Link 3
What are they thinking? Why can't Anne continue anchoring the other two newscasts? This station doesn't stick with anything. I don't like newscasts with solo anchors. No wonder I hardly watch this station!
