FirstNews8 13 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I think Young Broadcasting may be going with a company wide graphics package. I just realized WKRN is using a new package... http://www.wkrn.com/Global/category.asp?C=126081&nav=menu5_3 They are using the same package as KWQC, who has been using it since Oct. '08... http://www.kwqc.com/Global/story.asp?S=6881503 Now it is in no way the exact same, they are both different in some way... but Im thinking young is going with a similar package throughout.
TennTV1983 807 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 It's not really a new package as WKRN has been using most of KWQC's graphical elements since late last year. The opens, the lower 3rds, and the over-the-shoulders are still unchanged since 2006.
Bucc 4 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 those aren't what WTEN uses... http://www.wten.com/Global/story.asp?s=4860054

Ew, why is it that everything Young touches turns into garbage. WKRN has always had some pretty hideous packages and it didn't disappoint this time.
TennTV1983 807 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Looking back now, WKRN did update their graphics recently (I don't know if the opening has changed, as I'm currently not in Nashville right now): http://www.wkrn.com/ (Click on any of the videos to the right to see)
KnoxvilleTVFan 286 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I sure wish WATE would use these graphics. The current graphics they (WATE) have are not too good. I do like KWQC's version of the graphics.
