I would imagine that this would create some legal issues for those analog nightlight stations that remain on-air. They are two separate callsigns (analog -TV and digital -DT).

Nothing... it's not the 1960s anymore, the FCC could care less if you ID at all... today they care more about making sure there's not boobs on-air.

It's probably going to be ignored for a long while. I'm sure in a few years there will be a problem with putting -DT if your calls end in -TV, but right now I think the FCC realizes that some promos and graphics are still left over from pre-switch.

WPVI debuted its Summer opens today and all of them feature just the -TV suffix.

WRC in Washington is saying "WRC-DT WASHINGTON, D.C." and DC's FOX 5 is on air with "WTTG-DT DC"

 

Good thing the FCC isn't down the street.
