NYNews 54 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 I just saw a report by Katy Tur on WNBC, formerly of WPIX. I never really saw her as market #1 material nor WNBC material. Don't get me wrong, she has potential, but I never thought she would have landed a job on one of the big 3 so soon. I wonder if her relationship with Keith Olbermann may have helped her land the job at WNBC. Your thoughts?
NewsJunkie247 1 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 She definitely got that job because of her associations with Keith Olbermann. I don't see her as market #1 material as well, but I don't think she's too bad.
Spring Rubber 716 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 She seems to be a "utility" reporter for all of the NBC networks. She spent a month in the field in the late spring reporting for The Weather Channel's coverage of the Vortex2 tornado hunt project, and last week she did a number of TWC reports live from NYC. I'm curious if she'll be used as a NYC reporter for MSNBC now as well.
swillh2k2 205 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I wonder if her relationship with Keith Olbermann may have helped her land the job at WNBC. Your thoughts? Of course not. Why even suggest that? Forget the fact that Olbermann is the face of MSNBC--she got the job fair and square. :awesome:
Harry Houdini 0 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Keith still lives home with his mom and girls are not for him. Not to mention he can't even pass the test for a driver's license. :awesome:
first on fox 18 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 She is also doing the NBC News Mobile updates. Awful. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22425001/vp/3677250
TellyGenic 33 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 And isn't Rachel Maddow the "face" of MSNBC now anyway? Olbermann is so 2008.....
