Odd but WXMI is moving towards a more happy talk-ish/less serious format against the serious format they've had for the decade or so from what I've heard on Mibuzzboard. Sad, because WXMI had a good thing going . They even have a promo that have the anchors dancing around a fountain! For the record: http://www.mibuzzboard.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29751&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 In my opinion, these attempts by WXMI make them look cool are border-line embrassing. 17's old format wasn't broken, but you know these corporate types) It's a shame how Tribune are making attempts to put their lesser-tier stations into a half-assed version of WCCB (e.g KWGN/Deucebag) To quote what cfif said about comparing WFTS 2006-2007 to WJZ 1999-2002/03 "At least WCCB doesn't suck and have an niche. channel2 869 Posted September 12, 2009 Share Posted September 12, 2009 I'm glad another station is using The Unexpected, but I'm not keen on the supposed "Friends" promo (embarrassing promos aren't new to me; as a Denverite, I've seen KUSA do them for quite a while).
