I wanted to let you guys know that Network News Music has been completely relaunched. More than a new look, it was completely rebuilt. The music is available in higher quality. The themes are easier to find. And you can also rate themes.

New music includes the new GMA theme, Today Show themes from the 1970's and the current 20/20 theme.

I invite you to take a look: http://www.networknewsmusic.com

That one's cool... I like it better than Horner's for sure.

Oh geeze.. Almost anything is better than Horner's theme for CBS Evening News.

I know when CBS stuck Couric in the job, they were aiming for a "younger, more-hip audience" for the Evening News. The current music doesn't scream younger viewers at all.. If I were CBS, I would take the current Early Show theme and make that the Evening News theme. I think it fit better for what they're going for and it's just more upbeat.

As I was listening to the ABC 20/20 themes, I can say there is one 20/20 theme music that is missing. It was used during the mid-'90s but I think was only for a very short time. I think it was say it was the 94/95 or 90 theme package but it had a very strong electric guitar in it. I don't think there were any real guitar solos. I think it was more like hard electric guitar strums to give the theme some modern sounding umph. Anyone else here remember what I'm talking about?

I remember this site back when it was on GeoCities. I'm glad they also managed to keep the ABC "Electronic News Theme" that most of us remember hearing on the defunct 80's TV Themes site.

And, as someone else asked, there was some CNN Headline News stuff from that site. Is that gonna return or not?
