Forces of Evil in the News Business

The only one I can think of is Rupert Murdoch, the King of FOX Television. He and his News Corporation owns all of FOX Television Properties, FOX News Channel included.

I have watched the documentary OUTFOXED, and there are several acts of evil Murdoch is conducting at FOX's News department. One act of evil is condemning journalism (reporting, writing, editing and delivering the news) and objectivity (the goal you're trying to reach in the story you're reporting). Second act of evil is having employees give into Republicanism, or risk getting fired.

There are several more acts of evil, even outside FOX News. One of the acts of evil - on all networks - is funding it through advertsiing policy. Have the stories (about Paris Hilton, fashion and beauty) appeal to advertisers like (X-BOX and Victoria Secret). There is no hard news whatsoever, just fluff pieces; and those stories make it easy for Murdoch and others to cash each advertiser's check. Another act of evil on all networks is beauty, not brains and brawn. Fire anchors and reporters wth balls and a conscience, and hire the anchors that are former supermodels (who don't have a brain in their heads).

How does all this impact the way viewers think? One impact is thinking for themselves and making their own decisions. The networks are all politically biased (FOX is Conservative and the majro networks are Liberal), and they make the decision for the viewers. Second impact is fluff pieces having zero news value, and how can viewers get through rough times (like recession) if they hear about dribble (like Paris Hilton's DUI)? Third impact is viewers being imformed about faux news and advertisers, leaving viewers unsatisfied and unimformed customers.

Real and fiction - even seeing the evil at work in Weird Al Yankovic's movie UHF (R.J. Fletcher, president of the evil Channel 8 Tulsa (not the real KTUL))
