IceManNYR 240
For sweeps month FOX5 has been airing taped specials at 10:30pm. The problem is they have been produced in low quality SD 4:3. I just can't understand why if the FOX5 Studio is HD they can't produce the specials in 16:9 HD or SD? It just feels like I'm watching something taped in the 1990's. TennTV1983 804
Not a TV expert, but I believe separate equipment is required in order to produce and edit recorded material in 16x9 widescreen and HD formats. Not sure if WNYW has the recording capabilities to do something like that. It's the same deal with some other stations that can shoot live in HD, but can't record in the same way.
