Geoffrey 873 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Quite a change from back when the ticker took up nearly half the screen.
C Block 1566 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Whoa— it is gone. Not that I ever watch "HLN" anymore (sadly), but I liked their flipper.
channel2 982 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Whoa— it is gone. Not that I ever watch "HLN" anymore (sadly), but I liked their flipper. Sadly? I think it's a good thing you're not watching HLN. It's like those supermarket tabloids in TV network form. :ack: I just tuned in to see if their ticker was gone. Their ticker is still there.
WXmanTim 88 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I think he (or she) meant the first generation ticker from the relaunch of HeadlineNews circa 2000/2001. It's been gone for at least 3 or 4 years.
tw-804 194 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I just tuned in to see if their ticker was gone. Their ticker is still there. Hmm, probably for their shows (Nancy Grace, Clark Howard, Showbiz Tonight, etc.). Wait a minute. I'm watching HLN now. No ticker on the primetime shows. UPDATE (9:15pm): I was watching "Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell". No ticker.
gameshowguy2000 1 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I thought the ticker you guys were talking about was their SportsTicker that was used 24 hours on the weekend and starting at 5PM weekdays (once 9AM hit, it switched to a stock ticker). I'm glad not watching HLN anymore (or HN, however you want to call it); the switch in formats in 2001 was disgusting.
